(Lewes, DE / Nov. 4, 1999) WGMD-FM Morning Talk Show Host, Dan Gaffney, went into the giant ice cube at 4pm Thursday, November 4 for a 48 hour stay. He should emerge at 4pm Saturday. Gaffney is raising money from this stunt to benefit child abuse prevention programs.
 Here's the 5 thousand block of ice that Dan is entombed in - inside the refrigerated truck. Believe it or not, he's only wearing a "Save the Brick Hotel" T-shirt and shorts, socks and shoes.
And here's Dan inside the ice. As he said from his icy home on WMDT-TV47's evening news, it's "close quarters." Not even enough room to stretch out all the way.
 This is the 'viz-a-port' where you can look through the ice and see Dan. There is also close circuit TV set up with monitors in both Bill's Sport Shop and Atlantic Cellular to see Dan more clearly ~ that's when the tube isn't frozen over from the cold!  Even then, you can still tell he's in there.
